Other Projects

Our team has been involved in a former research project on the Early Modern Cosmology Between “Mosaic Physics” and Mechanical Philosophy (1650-1713) - October 2018-October 2020 - Project Code: PN-III-P1-1.1-TE-2016-0710. Some of the research results are available online:

  • The collection of Cartesian Cosmological Illustrations. A digital exhibition of illustrations in early modern prints of Descartes's Principles of Philosophy, part III, the first part of Le Monde, and the Lettres.
  • A blog-style website (in Romanian): Cosmologii carteziene . Each posts deals with a particular topic covered in the Early Modern Cosmology Between “Mosaic Physics” and Mechanical Philosophy (1650-1713) project and features several early modern figures, such as Géraud de Cordemoy, Johannes Amerpoel, Henry More, Gilles Personne de Roberval, Ralph Cudworth.
